Sugar Sugar Sugar
I recently watched the video How Much Sugar Do Americans Eat? By internet fitness guru Davey Wavey. In this video he not only tells us about how much sugar Americans eat, and the effects that it can cause to our bodies, but also gives a visual about how much we eat. Which seemed to display his his point a lot more.
We see that in 1822 the average American consumed about the amount of sugar that's in one can of coca-cola every five days. Now the average Americans consumes about 17 cans every five days. The adult will consume 22 tsp, while the child will eat 32 tsp The calories from all that sugar is the equivalence of a plate of bacon. I don't know if you've ever cooked or eaten bacon but it goes down pretty heavy. Now after you add all this up and then math clears out your eating roughly 132 lbs of sugar a year, which is like eating a small human in sugar.

Now you still my not be shocked but sugar as Davey explains it "has no nutrition value" It doesn't help your body in any way, shape, or form. It just sits there in your body to bubble into nice delicious fat. Chew on that for a little while.

Eating Out vs Eating In
We all know that eating out is probably not the best way to get, and stay in shape yet we do it most of the time any way. We as Americans are looking for the cheapest way to feed are family's and get the most out of it. Hence forth we dine out eating food were not suppose to filled with fats, and sugar that make it so bad for us but taste so good for us. We in the article Is eating out cheaper? that's exactly what Nick Bhardwaji talks about.
We learn that easting in is most definable healthier but its also way more expensive. I know this first hand, I try to get my family to eat more healthy, but its seems we never have the time or the money. So seeing these facts in this article most definable reassures something in side of me.

Fitness Gaming
Today I read the article BVM Capital Leads Seed Round for Fitness Interactive Experience this article spoke of the latest revelation in online gaming & fitness. Wait what? Did I just say online gaming AND Fitness you bet your little round bottom I did. The BVM capital tells us that they have found a way to promote a healthy lifestyle through a fun online MMO.
When I first started reading this article I immediately started think oh great this is just another Wii fitness board or Just Dance Game. After further reading though I started to see that this was something new. More of a program than a game. The article was all together confusing but what I got out of it was a new way to stay fit and healthy without having to go to the gym everyday.

Article Reflection Trigger Foods
Hello everyone, Today I read an article about trigger foods. Davey Wavey explained Trigger Foods in his article entitled How to Overcome Trigger Food? He first explains whats a trigger food is, then goes on how to avoid or handle the problem that they produce for us. I found this helpful and could relate to his article.
A trigger food is a food that psychologically makes you loose self control when eating, and can then lead on for you to start binge eating. So like you see the box of cookies over on the counter and your on a diet and you think "Hey I've been pretty good I'll just have one?" Then the next thing you know your eating the whole box in front of your tv watching My Best Friends Wedding singing "Say a Little Prayer" That my friends in a nutshell is the basics of a trigger food.
Now our friends Davey broke down dealing with trigger food in two way the first of which is "Moderation" Eat the food in low portion evenly spaced from each other that way if you do so desire to have a cookie you won't find yourself weeping over why your not as successful as Julia Robert with a mouthful of triple chocolate chunk. Now the other way of going about this may be a bit more difficult which is "Cold Turkey" No snacks EVER don't break down don't eat the food just cut it out completely the only problem with this method is if you do find yourself loosing self control you will start the binge and start all over.
I think the best thing to do is just maybe cut it out for a small amount of time so when you switch into moderation you won't find yourself going off the deep end.

I want to blog more on this everyone & soon enough remember this is a school project so once the ball starts rolling things will get better.
